Since making aliyah to Israel my visual sense has had a measure of adrenalin.
As a professional photographer that is good thing. In my home country I became jaded almost desensitized to my environment. Years of familiarity does that to one. I have a web site for my professional work but I felt I needed to create a second for my personal images - the quirky odd shots and candids that clients never get to see.

Chilling: A stark reminder. Nothing is what it seems
IN Israel we are so often reminded of our our past. From ancient stones and, yes, to people and their past. I noticed some retired folk chilling and enjoying each other in Raanana recently - obviously I shot the image. On editing it I felt a chill in my bones. Look at the detail on the woman's forearm ( Not sure if the web resolution can maintain the sharpness) but clearly there was a tattoo - a number. Obviously I won't expand on what that means. One either knows or one does not. My blood ran cold. Here she was 60 years plus after the terrifying ordeal, and yes..she was alive and yes even more important vibrant and involved.
